I am a licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Washington State. I work with individuals (ages 16 and older) and families. I obtained my masters degree in Individual and Family Therapy from George Fox University, in Newberg, Oregon in 2006. I have worked in a variety of clinical settings, including community mental health, in-home therapy, and private practice.

My areas of expertise include the treatment of anxiety, depression, ADHD, religious trauma, grief and loss, stress management, internal family systems work, life transitions and personal growth. I provide an LGBTQIA+ friendly environment for therapeutic treatment.
Drawing from a combination of influences from Depth Psychology, Narrative Psychology, Applied Mythology as well as a genuine love of story-telling in general, I have worked both individually and in small groups utilizing creative storytelling as a method to help people get more curious about their own lives, their own shadow personalities, and to begin to learn how to utilize more conscious and intentional storytelling as a means to find healing and inner reconciliation, as well as a meaningful tool for personal growth.
In 2021, I published my first book, The Fire That Never Dies: Dragons of the West, combining my two loves of psychotherapy and mythology to pose a question to modern, Western people, who have inherited primarily Western, European myths, what it might look like today to change our relationship with dragons from antagonists that must be slain, to wisdom figures that have something important to offer for the health and vitality of our souls, if we can learn to listen, befriend them, and tame our own fight or flight impulses in response to them.

I also host the "Mythological Imaginations Podcast: How Stories Shape & Change Our Lives," where we explore the power of story telling through myth and fairy tales, and how we learn something important about our own inner stories as we engage in their timeless wisdom.
